I think the strongest technical aspect of my work is how the flower stands out so much compared to then rest of the desaturated picture because it really pops out. I can improve on keeping the colors in the lines of the picture. is was is easy because you just had to fill in the color of the picture you decided to pick and leave the rest alone. nothing was really difficult because you didn't have to make different layers of anything like that. i demonstrated the object in this picture by making the flower come out of the picture. I wouldn't really do anything different because i like the picture i chose and i like the way i decide to do it.
Kristen, the rose looks stunning up against the desaturated background. If you want to stay in the lines better try the quick selection tool. It's in with the magic wand. That will create a safety barrier and the paint will not flow out to the background.
